🌱LOSING MY MIND🌱 #realmotherhoodchallenge T 🌱LOSING MY MIND🌱 #realmotherhoodchallenge Things that make me lose my mind: 1. Burning dinner - all that food and time wasted! 2. Children not obeying without delay - partly my fault because I'm not consistent. 3. Wasting food - there is a rule about not opening your sandwich in our house. Otherwise the peanut butter is licked off and crusts are left. I draw the line at eating crusts without a spread other than spit! 4. Hanging up and folding washing! Especially when I do more than a load a day and it's a giant mountain! 5. Mess in my house - I cannot think when things are disorganized or messy! It's too overstimulating and overwhelming! I also have lost my memory since having kids! I used to remember people's names. Now it's in one ear and out the other. I also tell people the same things, forgetting that I've already told them!! Ahhh!!! YAY FOR LEVEL 2! It used to be my husband's job. But now that he cycles, he leaves earlier. 🌱BEDTIME🌱#realmotherhoodchallenge Each nig 🌱BEDTIME🌱#realmotherhoodchallenge Each night after dinner, the girls get some @zinplexjunior and then they go upstairs to brush their teeth - one of my worst "kid jobs." So my husband generally does it. Then, we all go into a bedroom, generally Younger's and they each choose a story. After that, my husband reads them a Bible story. We have recently started learning memory verses at night too. Then we pray. Each of our girls says thanks the Lord for something and says sorry for something - we have had some lovely and amusing prayers! After that, my husband and I alternate putting a daughter to bed. We turn off the light, lie beside them or sit on their beds and sing two songs to the daughter we are with. Then we alternate again for a last kiss and each tells the other parent their "happy day" and their "sad day." I love this chance to talk to both of them without distraction. It's when I get the most insight into their thoughts and the events of the day.
