I think as moms, we sometimes feel that only our p I think as moms, we sometimes feel that only our protection and care is good enough. We cannot let anyone else care for or look after our children or their needs because no one can do as good a job as we can. (Even though, in the same breath, we don't believe we are good enough!) We called it a year and put up the tree. Just kidd We called it a year and put up the tree. Just kidding! We have an "advent calendar" nativity set and Christmas books that goes under the tree each day from 1 December so it needed to be done this weekend. I have always grown up with a real tree and I LOVED choosing one and drinking in the scent of the branches. They are ridiculously expensive so we've sufficed with a small fake one my dad found at the auction one year. I determined to find a decent fake one this year and found this one at a steal of R500!! Its humungous and is even bent over at the top. I LOVE it! I feel like I now have a tree out of a home and lifestyle magazine and am happy to settle for this fake tree every year! My daughters spent the afternoon unpacking all the decorations and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus in the nativity set manger with all the Christmas candles. We started a new tradition of drinking hot chocolate and indulging in homemade shortbread when we decorate the tree. 💜World Prematurity Day💜 This last month had 💜World Prematurity Day💜 This last month had a day dedicated to the early arrival of precious, tiny babies. Our eldest was 2.3kgs at birth. She was so small, prem nappies didn't fit snugly around her legs, no clothes fit her properly (not even some prem clothes) and she used to fall under my armpit when I breastfed.
